It is attractive and easy to use. However, it does not shut off automatically as claimed in Amazon's description. Even the owner's manual says it does not shut off automatically. The only thing is sometimes you have to run the opener long enough to cycle the can around more than once to properly separate the top from the can. However, once the top is separated the top and the can have no sharp edges whatsoever. The process of inserting the can in the opener is very easy and once inserted the opening is hands free except for holding down the power lever. Once the opening is accomplished the can is easily removed. I hate spending time trying to find just the right place to align the can with the opener; especially in the AM when I'm barely awake trying to open a can of tuna for the cats, digging my fingers into the yuk fishing for the craggy lid. This can opener has changed my life, so to speak, because it's smooth, there's no fiddling with cans, you just push that sucker up to the opener and zoom, it's clean, its' smooth and it's open. Buy this can opener and it will be the last can opener you ever buy. |
